Health & Safety at Board Level

The Taranaki HRINZ Branch Committee, in conjunction with the New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM), is holding a presentation and panel discussion on what Health and Safety means at the company Board level.

Carlie Yukich, Risk and Business Improvement Manager at Port Taranaki will briefly present her Master thesis which investigates director’s approach to safety governance. This will then be followed with a panel discussion headed up by three executive managers who will talk about their experience of influencing and engaging with the Board within the area of Health and Safety. Panel members:

• Fiona Ewing – National Safety Director, Forest Industry Safety Council
• Andrea Smith – GM Organisational Development, New Plymouth District Council
• Craig Marriott – General Manager HSEQ, First Gas

For: HR managers and practitioners, H&S managers and practitioners, those with Health and Safety responsibilities, and managers of staff.

Come and join HRINZ and NZISM for this great event. We welcome both members and non- members to join us for this truly informative and interactive session amongst colleagues and peers.

Cost – Free for members; $25 for non-members. Please register online through the HRINZ website (hrinz.org.nz) if you are an HRINZ member. NZISM members will receive a NZISM meeting invite. The event will start with some networking and light refreshments.
