There are many organisations in New Zealand offering funding for different purposes, from one-off projects to business growth. These are some of the options you might wish to consider if you are looking for financial support.

R&D Growth Grant

Who Provides It? Callaghan Innovation What is it? Up to 20% of eligible R&D expenditure, up to $5m per annum. Who's it for? Registered companies, limited partnerships, or Māori incorporations or trusts established under the Te Ture Whenua Māori Act. Must be spending at least $300,000 per annum and 1.5% of revenue on eligible R&D.

Who Provides It? Callaghan Innovation What is it? Up to 40% of eligible R&D project costs, for larger projects Who's it for? Registered companies, limited partnerships, or Māori incorporations or trusts established under the Te Ture Whenua Māori Act. Must be GST registered.

Who Provides It? Callaghan Innovation What is it? A range of subsidies for companies recruiting university students for R&D projects. Who's it for? Registered companies, limited partnerships, or Māori incorporations or trusts established under the Te Ture Whenua Māori Act. Must have an active R&D programme.

RBP Capability Development Vouchers

RBP Capability Development Vouchers

Who Provides It? Venture Taranaki via the Regional Business Partner Network. What is it? Funding of up to 50% for business coaching and training, capped at $5,000 per financial year. Who's it for? Owners and managers of SME businesses with 50 or fewer FTEs, looking to grow their business. Must be GST registered.

Who Provides It? Sport Taranaki What is it? Sport Taranaki offer guidance for athletes and sporting groups seeking support in Taranaki. Who's it for? Sports clubs, athletes, coaches and community groups.

The Wheelhouse Project

The Wheelhouse Project

Who Provides It? A range of community funders and trusts. What is it? A central database of funding opportunities, as well as training and networks. Who's it for? Taranaki trusts, clubs, societies and groups.
