Venture Taranaki invites you to join in discussions between Brad Olsen, one of New Zealand’s leading economic commentators, and Justine Gilliland, Venture Taranaki CE. This discussion will focus on Taranaki’s economic outlook, our plans to ‘return to better’ following the disruption of COVID-19 in 2020, and how we plan to enhance our resilience into the future.

Brekonomics will provide insights into Taranaki’s forecasted economic performance and areas of opportunity. Attendees will have the chance to shape the discussion and have their questions answered by the experts.
Ticket includes a light breakfast, tea, coffee and a donation to our partner charity, Yellow Brick Road, New Plymouth.

About Brad Olsen
Brad Olsen is a Senior Economist and Director at Infometrics and a leading economic commentator across New Zealand who focuses on getting useful information to businesses, decision makers, and the public. At present, he is focused on the economic effects of COVID-19 and changes to the New Zealand economy, as jobs are lost, business practices change, and a 'new' normal emerges. About Justine Gilliland
Justine is the Chief Executive of Venture Taranaki, and is on the boards of Manaaki Whenua Landcare Research, Economic Development New Zealand, and AGMARDT (Agricultural Marketing, Research and Development Trust). She is also Co-Chair of the Taranaki (interim) Regional Skills Leadership Group and a member of Transpower’s Consumer Advisory Panel.
